DUBAI: The operator of the biggest chain of hypermarkets in the Middle East will invest US$200mil (RM645.2mil) in Malaysia in a move that will boost the country’s trade relations with the Arab region.
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the Abu Dhabi-based EMKE Lulu Group of Companies, which has more than 100 hypermarkets in the Middle East, will open five branches in Malaysia that would offer halal products.
