BN leaders: Calls to slap Kok against the law

PETALING JAYA: The authorities must act over the controversial call to slap Teresa Kok as such an offer contravenes a person’s right to be free from harm, say leaders from several Barisan Nasional component parties.

“Not only are such calls uncouth, out-of-time, they are an abuse of the principles of democracy, and in this case, seditious, in gross contravention of an individual’s right to be free from harm in any form,” said MCA religious bureau chairman Datuk Ti Lian Ker in a statement yesterday.
