Ex-MCMC deputy director and wife jailed and fined RM1.25mil in cheating case


SHAH ALAM: Former Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) deputy director Noor Mohamed Khan Mohamed Mastan and his wife Suraya Hani Ahmad Zaki were found guilty of corruption at the Sessions Court here Friday.

Noor Mohamed, 40, was found to have abetted his wife Suraya, 33, in securing a tender to set up, operate, conduct tests and commission a digital forensic laboratory at the MCMC, and was sentenced to five years' jail and fined RM1.25mil or an additional jail sentence of one year.
