PETALING JAYA: The announcement to dissolve Parliament may be linked to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's favourite number: 11.
Najib's audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong took place on April 3: the numerals add up to 11 (3+4+1+3), as observed by Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah.
Also, when Najib arrived in front of Istana Negara yesterday, he was seen travelling in a Proton Perdana limousine with the number plate WRX 11.
“If you were to add up the number, it's 11, his favourite,” he said in a video interview with The Star.
Other details in Najib's life have also pointed to the number 11.
His house address is 11, Jalan Langgak Duta, off Taman Duta, in Kuala Lumpur.
His father and former prime minister Tun Abdul Razak Hussein was born on March 11, 1922, while his mother Tun Rahah Mohd Noah was born on June 11, 1933.
Najib was also Pahang's 11th Mentri Besar, serving there from 1982 to 1986.
Yesterday also marked the fourth anniversary of Najib's premiership, which he took over from his predecessor Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.Incidentally, Najib's party Umno was founded on May 11, 1946.
