MAS resumes flights affected by tsunami alert


PETALING JAYA: Following the withdrawal of the tsunami alert Wednesday night, Malaysia Airlines has normalised its twice daily flight operations to Phuket, while its services to cities like Colombo, Chennai and Male are on schedule.

Passengers of flights MH790 for Kuala Lumpur/Phuket and MH791 for Phuket/Kuala Lumpur, which were cancelled Wednesday due to the closure of Phuket airport, were accommodated on flights MH786/787 Thursday, departing KLIA at 0930 hours and Phuket at 1045 hours respectively.
