THE 24-hour countdown to Deepavali has started and traders are all out pushing their stocks and shoppers are having a field day grabbing various goods on offer.
At Little India in George Town, traditional delicacies like coconut candy, muruku, pakoda, labu, jelebi, pal kova, nei alwa and cookies were selling like hot cakes in stalls that have taken to the streets.
