Chaotic weekend crawl as one-way loop system starts in Petaling Jaya

Heavy traffic jam along Jalan Utara when the one way loop was implemented on Sunday at 12.01am. As of afternoon cars were still seen heading both the direction. Traffic was chaotic and created a bumper to bumper crawl spilling towards Federal Highway.

CHAOS ruled the streets of Petaling Jaya yesterday as the trial one-way-loop system came into effect at 12.01am.

A source from the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) said the problems began as early as 4am when the organisers of a fun run in Padang Timur were said to have moved the road barricades for the one-way system to accommodate the event, which attracted about 6,000 participants.
