MIRI: A big area of bushland near Miri Go-Kart Stadium in Kuala Baram district was on fire yesterday afternoon.
The fire was deliberately lit by people believed to be either illegal farmers or landowners who were clearing land for agriculture. Such opening burning is still banned in the district.
