LUNDU: The festive atmosphere during the district-level Women’s Day was evident when 400 women of diverse backgrounds gathered here to kick off the celebration.
A spokesman from the organisers said the two-day event, which was launched yesterday, saw participants comprising locals as well as civil servants and members of various organisations, taking part in various activities such as a futsal competition and health programmes, as well as flower arrangement, cake decorating and cooking contests.
