DIGI Telecommunications Sdn Bhd launched its “60 Vespas in 60 Days” contest recently, exclusively for DiGi pre-paid customers.
The contest will run for 60 days, from Sept 6 to Oct 31.
The 60 units of the Vespa LX 150, yellow in colour, of course, will be presented to the winners at a grand ceremony on Nov 9.
Leading up to the contest, DiGi also held the DiGi WinAVespa Facebook contest (from Aug 30 till Sept 1), where contestants who previously ‘liked’ DiGi’s Facebook fan page were required to answer, as creatively as possible, why they wanted a free Vespa from DiGi.
The first winner for the contest was Tan Aik Huan, 31, from Sungai Petani, Kedah, who was also present during the launch.
DiGi’s head of products (Internet Services) Preveen Rajan said, “For mobile users who are still considering subscribing to mobile Internet services, this contest is a great opportunity for them to finally get connected via their mobile devices and at the same time, stand a chance to win a Vespa.”
During this time, all DiGi pre-paid weekly and monthly mobile Internet subscribers are automatically eligible for at least one entry.
DiGi prepaid subscribers who do not have a mobile Internet plan, can dial *116# to do so — enabling them to choose a package from as low as RM7 per week for 100MB to RM68 per month for 5GB of data.
The minimum RM7 package allows the prepaid user one entry in the contest while the RM68 package entitles the user to seven entries.
A winner will be selected on a daily basis and a DiGi representative will contact them to answer a trivia question in order to win the scooter.
The winner’s list will be updated weekly on DiGi’s website as well as their Facebook and Twitter accounts. For details, visit www.digi.my/winavespa or www.digi.com.my
