PNSB went through a harrowing time before emerging as the Super Division champions in the Football Association of Selangor (FAS) league.

In the final, played at the Shah Alam Stadium, PNSB, reduced to 10 men, upstaged PKNS 4-2 on penalties. The normal time score was 1-1. Extra–time could not break the deadlock and the winner had to be decided on penalties.
