AFTER spending more than a decade with the Special Action Unit (UTK), Supt Mohd Ali Thamby is excited to begin his tenure as the new Petaling Jaya deputy police chief.

The 48-year-old former deputy UTK commander of operations took over from acting deputy chief ASP Mohamad Sukardy Rangkut at the district police headquarters.
