Mishap of cement-laden lorry brings traffic to a crawl

HUNDREDS of bags of cement blocked the winding route of Jalan Teluk Kumbar, Penang, after the wooden frame of the lorry’s load gave way while negotiating a sharp bend.

The incident caused an early morning congestion as both lanes leading towards Teluk Kumbar and Balik Pulau were blocked, leaving only the emergency lane accessible.
