CHARACTERS from animation series BoBoiBoy have come to life this Ramadan.
BoBoiBoy and his friends Ying, Yaya and Gopal will be delighting visitors, especially children, at IOI Mall in Puchong.
Children from Pusat Jagaan Baitul Hidayah Home were among the first to see them at the launch of the ‘Superaya Bersama Superhero BoBoiBoy.
In addition to mingling with their favourite characters, the children also received ‘duit raya’ and goodie bags which were presented by IOI Group chief operating officer Cheah Wing Choong.
Cheah said they were honoured to have exclusive rights to present BoBoiBoy as the mall’s theme for the festive season.
“We felt the animation characters are a true reflection of Malaysia. We hope to bring Malaysians together by promoting them,” he said.
Animonsta Studios Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Kee Yong Pin said BoBoiBoy’s appearance at IOI Puchong was timely.
“We are looking to launch a BoBoiBoy movie later this year and promotions like this will help build the excitement,” he said.
BoBoiBoy has an average viewership of 700,000 for each episode and even hit 1.7 million.
The series is also aired over satellite TV channels, reaching audiences in South East Asia as well as several Middle East countries.
Throughout Ramadan, the mall will hold activities like mascot appearances, colouring contest and screening of the series during weekends.
