KUANTAN: The Pahang Fisheries Department is taking steps to encourage the use of turtle excluder devices (TED) on fishing trawlers in an effort to protect the reptile from being accidentally captured.
Its director Adnan Hussein would be conducting workshops and dialogues to introduce the TED among Zone A fishermen in the state in the hope that they would adopt the device for trawling.
