Sellers not increasing the price of sugarcane used in Hokkien prayers

MOST sugarcane sellers in Penang made their customers who are celebrating the Jade Emperor’s birthday happy by not increasing the price of the stalks.

The sellers said they decided to absorb the price increase instead of charging their customers extra.
