Kwasa Land awards RM127m project at Kwasa Damansara to WCT


KUALA LUMPUR: Kwasa Land, the master developer for Kwasa Damansara, awarded its first main infrastructure works project valued at RM127mil to WCT Holdings Bhd.

It said on Tuesday the contract was to build the common infrastructure at Kwasa Damansara township development within the vicinity of MX-1 (main town centre) and Kwasa Sentral MRT Station.

The award comprised of earthwork, roadwork, drainage, sewerage reticulation and sewerage treatment plant, water reticulation, park and ride facility, electrical infrastructure works.  Under the contract, WCT has to award 35% of the total work to bumiputra subcontractors.

“The main infrastructure works project would be completed within 104 weeks in line with the development expectations for the town centre MX-1,” it said.

Kwasa Land said the project is among many other infrastructure projects to be announced over the next five years for the 2,330 acre Kwasa Damansara township development.

Kwasa Damansara, located in the vicinity of Kota Damansara and Petaling Jaya, is a mix of residential, commercial, recreational, institutional and educational developments which when ready, would serve a target population catchment of 150,000.
