Jamal, who has been under a six-month leave of absence to focus on assisting investigations by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has submitted a letter to withdraw his offer to be re-elected to the board.
“This morning Jamal has sent us a letter that he has opted not to be re-elected for the best interest of the company,” said chairman Raja Tan Sri Arshad Uda to reporters after Icon’s AGM on Wednesday.
