Boustead completes SK309 Belum topsides project

KUALA LUMPUR: Boustead Penang Shipyard Sdn Bhd (BPS) has completed the load out and sail away of the offshore Belum Topsides (BE-SA) facilities for Murphy Sarawak Oil Co Ltd.

BPS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Bhd (BHIC).

The BE-SA facilities will be utilised in Murphy's Sarawak Gas Development Project (SGDP), a multi-phase for several natural gas discoveries in blocks SK309 and SK311, which started production in 2009.

In a joint-statement, BHIC Executive Director David Berry said the event was significant, as BPS has completed over 700,000 man-hours of fabrication without Lost Time Injury/Incident.- Bernama
