Langat 2 water treatment project to take off


The tunnel for the Pahang-Selangor raw water transfer project. Salcon- MMC-AZRB joint venture will undertake pack age 2A, which involves the construct ion and completion of the 1,130-million-litre-per -day Langat 2 water-treatment plant.

KUALA LUMPUR: The much-awaited Langat 2 water treatment plant and water reticulation system in Selangor is set to take off with the award of a close to RM1bil contract by the Government.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Salcon Bhd said its joint-venture (JV) entity with MMC Corp Bhd and Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd (AZRB) had received a letter of acceptance (LoA) from Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd for the RM993.88mil Langat 2 water treatment plant and reticulation contract.
