Maybank offers ringgit trade financing in China


KUALA LUMPUR: Malayan Banking Bhd is offering trade financing in ringgit to customers in China through its branches in Beijing and Shanghai, making it the first bank to offer such a facility there.

It said on Tuesday customers in China - which is its third largest trading partner -- could settle their cross-border trade transactions with their Malaysian counterparts directly in ringgit.
