Mohd Hazli says he decided to add chocolate rice to the traditional bahulu recipe as a way to make them more appealing to children.

THROUGHOUT his 16 years of selling bahulu cakes, Mohd Hazli Hussain noticed that children are gradually losing interest in this traditional Malay delicacy today.

The 38-year-old decided to come up with ways to attract the younger generation, giving an even sweeter twist to the taste by mixing chocolate rice into the texture of the sponge cake.
