Seoul Mayor Oh Se-Hoon (right), who was elected to office in July last year, told 14 foreign journalists at a press conference in the city recently that Seoul, now in 27th place in terms of global competitiveness, was working very hard to become one of the top 10 cities in the world.

One of the ways to achieve that goal, he said, was to attract more foreign visitors. The city has thus set a target of attracting 12 million tourists by 2010.
