DÜSSELDORF: A German woman lost her entire €250,000 (RM1.24mil) cryptocurrency investment after being induced to divulge her security codes to a fake security adviser, police reported on July 6.

The fake adviser communicated with her by SMS on Thursday evening, telling her there had been suspicious activity on her account with a crypto-trading platform.
