At a time when the food delivery market is booming, there’s no shortage of new ideas to enhance the user experience. Now, you can get your order delivered to wherever you are – be it on the beach or by the pool – simply by dropping a pin in Google Maps.
Geolocation is becoming a key ally for the fast-food industry, which is increasingly using this technology to optimise profitability. In the United States, McDonald’s unveiled a programme earlier this year aimed at streamlining order preparation by monitoring the location of its take-out customers, in order to hand them their food as soon as they arrive.
