MySejahtera users who have been registered as Covid-19 positive cases at the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) will now receive a notification via SMS and alert on the app.
According to Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a recent statement, affected users will be provided with guidance and reminders for self-assessment through the app.
The assessments will be available in the ‘Things to do’ section for 10 consecutive days.
If users report any symptoms through the self-assessment, the information will be relayed to the Covid-19 Assessment Centre and a health officer will contact the user for further evaluation.
Meanwhile, users who have tested positive but are still waiting to be contacted by the Health Ministry (MOH) can now report themselves through the app.
Start by clicking Helpdesk on the main page. A new page will open for the MySejahtera Helpdesk and users can select option G for “I am Covid-19 positive and awaiting a call from MOH”.
Dr Noor Hisham advised members of the public to keep the app updated and utilise its available features, adding that he hopes the new updates will help to improve management of Covid-19 positive cases and meet the needs of users.
“This is in line with the MOH’s aim of breaking the chain of Covid-19 infection in the community more effectively,” he said in the statement.
An infographic about the new self-assessment features is available on MOH's Info Sihat website.
