Hong Kong health authorities have set up an electronic platform that will allow for easier processing of coronavirus patients and protect medical workers by minimising contact at the city’s first makeshift hospital.

The community treatment facility in Hall 1 of AsiaWorld-Expo, an exhibition centre near the airport, has received nearly 600 Covid-19 patients between the ages of 18 and 60 with mild symptoms as of Aug 21. Three-quarters are cases from the community, while the rest were transferred from public hospitals.
