Microsoft survey finds Malaysian netizens among the ‘most civil’ online


The Microsoft 2020 Digital Civility Index (DCI) listed social media as the most common online space for abusive behaviour, predominantly Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat. — AFP

Turns out Malaysian netizens are quite a polite lot: A new Microsoft survey has revealed that Malaysia ranks fourth out of 25 countries listed in the Digital Civility Index, with a 59% score.

Of the top five rankings, the United Kingdom came in first with a 52% score, followed by Netherlands (56%), Germany (58%), Malaysia, and then the United States (60%).
