Mozilla Corporation, the company behind the popular Firefox browser, laid off about 70 of its employees as it struggled to earn revenue from its new subscription products, while simultaneously moving away from search contracts.
TechCrunch reported this based on an internal memo by Mozilla chairwoman and interim CEO Mitchell Baker, which stated the workforce reduction was prompted by failure to earn an income from sources other than search.
