US influencer gets 14 years’ jail for plot to steal domain name at gunpoint

How far would you go to acquire a domain name registered to someone else? One social media influencer in the United States was willing to get someone to point a gun at the website owner to force him to transfer ownership.

In a statement, the US Department of Justice said Rossi Lorathio Adams II, 27, has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for planning an armed home invasion to acquire the domain name doitforstate.com.
