It's a great week for catching up on games released earlier this year or even earlier this century, thanks to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions of Ancestors: The Humankind Legacy, Alien Isolation on the Switch, 2002's Neverwinter Nights on all three and Halo: Reach on Xbox One and PC.
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
For PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Guide an ape and generations of its descendents toward species goals as, by trial, error and ingenuity, they eventually give rise to the human race. A debut from Panache Digital, founded by the creator of the Assassin's Creed franchise; previously released on PC in August, where it was praised for its ambition but not for its repetitive nature.
Halo: Reach (part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection)
Xbox One and Windows PC
The fifth entry to the Halo franchise and the first to move focus away from supersoldier Master Chief, the very well received Halo: Reach was originally released in 2010 on Xbox 360, here becoming the latest addition to The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One and marking the omnibus's debut on PC.
