Loot-em-up Borderlands 3 launched on the Epic Game Store, while competitor Monster Hunter: World and grand strategy Civilization VI were boosted by sales on multiple storefronts.
Though Borderlands 3 did not debut on Steam, instead subject to an exclusivity deal with the relatively new Epic Game Store, its impact can be seen through chart-topping performances across the Humble and Fanatical storefronts, which are both authorised to re-sell Epic activation codes.
