Super Nintendo World theme park: Mario, Yoshi rides, interactive wristbands, high scores

The new Super Nintendo World area of Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, due to open in Spring 2020, will feature Super Mario Kart Ride and Yoshi's Adventures attractions, plus a special wristband that can interact with different parts of the three-level area as well as with a game console, according to Universal Parks & Resorts CEO Tom Williams.

Expected to enter its first phase of visitor access in Spring 2020, the Super Nintendo World area of Universal Studios Japan will feature two operational rides to begin with, one called Super Mario Kart Ride and the other named Yoshi's Adventures.
