Road crash stunt lands Chinese ‘humour blogger’ and his mum behind bars

At about 6pm on Sunday, a 26-year-old man identified only as Chao drove a blue Lamborghini to an intersection in Jinshui district and pretended to collide with an electric scooter driven by his 55-year-old mother, surnamed Cao, police said. — SCMP

A fake road accident staged and filmed by a “humour blogger” has landed him and his cast and crew – including his mother – in detention for five days in central China.

Officers in Zhengzhou, Henan province, said on Aug 21 they received a complaint on the weekend about an “online celebrity who planned and filmed a car crash video in the street that seriously disturbed the traffic order”.
