Pokémon Go reveals that its next community day will feature Fairy-type Pokémon Ralts and rolls out new mechanics where players can fight villains Team GO Rocket to save Shadow Pokémon.
The next Community Day is fixed for Aug 3. During the event, which runs from 4-7pm, Ralts will appear more often in the wild, while eggs need to be walked only a quarter of the normal required distance. Lures, which attract creatures to appear, will also last three hours instead of 30 minutes.
Players that evolve Ralts into its ultimate version Gardevoir or Gallade will be rewarded with an exclusive charge attack, which has not yet been announced.

"An organisation called Team GO Rocket has invaded PokéStops and is in possession of Shadow Pokémon that behave strangely and seem to be in pain. Team GO Rocket is clearly up to no good, and we need your help!" it said, on its blog.
It explains that Team GO Rocket members will appear randomly at discolored PokéStops where they will challenge players to a battle. If players win, they will get an opportunity to catch a Shadow Pokémon that villains abandoned. Players can purify these Shadow Pokémon back to its normal state and will be rewarded by getting a more powerful than usual creature.
The introduction of Team GO Rocket has also changed the frequency of which Pokémon are appearing, in a nod to the Pokémon used by the Team Rocket characters Jessie and James in the original cartoon.
"Oddly specific Shiny Pokémon have started appearing! Our research has found that if you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny Ekans or Shiny Koffing in the wild, in raids, or in Eggs!" said Niantic.
Meanwhile, these Pokémon will hatch more frequently from eggs: Rattata, Ekans, Sandshrew, Zubat, Meowth, Machop, Magnemite, Grimer, Gastly, Drowzee, Cubone, Koffing, Murkrow, Sneasel, Houndour, and Poochyena.
