Haute Couture Week took the fashion world by storm earlier this month, and now YouCam Makeup is offering users the chance to recreate some of the stunning beauty looks from the prestigious Paris event at home.

The augmented beauty app, which is owned by the developer Perfect Corp, has launched an Augmented Reality (AR) experience allowing users access to Fall/Winter 2019 catwalk beauty looks created by the makeup artists Tom Sapin and Olivier Tissot. App users will be able to test out the looks virtually, using their smartphones.

The first look, created by Sapin for the fashion label Stephane Rolland, features a dramatic and intense smokey eye and natural lip. The second focuses on a beguiling "Golden Eye" look that Tissot crafted for the Tony Ward couture show, featuring a luminous, metallic eyeshadow with a sprinkling of glitter.

This is not the first time that YouCam has dabbled in fashion week – last September, the app teamed up with the fashion house Flying Solo NYC on an AR beauty concept bringing users live front row coverage from 70 indie designers, as well as exclusive backstage hair and makeup footage. Fans were also given the chance to access two exclusive catwalk beauty looks from the label's catwalk show, trying them on virtually via their smartphones. YouCam has also previously joined forces with Maybelline New York to bring New York Fashion Week catwalk beauty looks to fashionistas. – AFP Relaxnews
