In OCO, players collect pixels to a relaxing bass beat as a circle spins in a minimalist environment. All players need to manipulate their pixel in this mobile phone game is just the tap of a finger.

The circle never stops spinning in OCO, making for an addictive mobile phone game that could be described as a minimalist, hip version of Pac-Man. The player, using a small pixel, must collect other pixels floating around a two-dimensional labyrinth.

The levels are always circular and spin around an imaginary axis in the middle. Players can give their pixel only one command: Jump, which it does with the tap of a finger. That's all you need to play.

This minimalism is also reflected in how the game looks: Simple but colourful. The game's music is what elevates the playing experience, with the pixel moving to laid-back electronic beats that the player has a direct influence over: Each collected pixel emits a sound.

If all the pixels are collected in the right order and to the right rhythm, then the song plays in its full splendour, motivating the player to perfectly complete all levels to enjoy the music fully.

OCO is a beautiful game that's perfect to play while you're on the train or need a quick break. It can be downloaded free of charge for Android and iOS, with an ad-free version costing about US$1 (RM4.15). – dpa
