SAO PAULO: Delivery startup Rappi is partnering with Visa Inc to offer a prepaid card linked to its digital wallet in Brazil, expanding the product's rollout from Mexico and Colombia, where Rappi was founded, executives from the two companies told Reuters.
The tie-up, the latest sign of intensifying competition between app-based wallets in Latin America's largest economy, will give Rappi customers a new way to pay using money saved to the app beyond its current QR code payment feature.
