California-based audio company JLab Audio has revealed its latest pair of sport earbuds with up to 70 hours of battery life and an IP66 waterproof rating.

With the battery life provided by their complementary charging cases included, Apple's AirPods, Bose's SoundSport Free wireless headphones, and Beats Powerbeats Pro offer up to 24 hours, 15 hours, and 24 hours of listening time, respectively. Nearly tripling that of Apple's and Beats' models, JLab this week launched the Epic Air Sport wireless earbuds offering up to 70 hours of battery life total.

Like the SoundSport and Powerbeats Pro pairs, the JLab rendition has been oriented towards use while working out. While the latter two earbuds are both water-resistant to an extent, the Epic Air Sport earbuds are much stronger with a rating of IP66, meaning that they are completely dust resistant and can even survive being sprayed with powerful water jets.

In addition to powering up the earbuds with 60 extra hours of battery life, the accompanying case can charge other devices like smartphones.

In terms of sound, owners can adjust it to their personal preferences by alternating between three modes: JLab Signature, Balanced, and Bass Boost. The Be Aware Audio feature allows the wearer to hear outside noises making activities like conducting phone calls "feel natural".

Similarly to its closest competitors, the Epic Air Sport earbuds support Siri and Google Assistant and let you accept or reject incoming calls with touch controls.

The JLab Epic Air Sport truly wireless earbuds are available to preorder now for US$149 (RM621) with shipping beginning in mid-July. – AFP Relaxnews
