Apple users will soon be able to login to apps using their Apple ID, as the company forces app developers to include Sign In With Apple as a third party sign-in option.

TechCrunch reports that Apple is requiring all developers that utilise third party sign-in services like Google and Facebook to also implement Sign In With Apple.

During Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), this requirement was discovered at the tail end of its updated App Store Review Guidelines.

The company states that “Sign In with Apple will be available for beta testing this summer”, and that “it will be required as an option for users in apps that support third-party sign-in when it is commercially available later this year”.

Apple claims this feature will benefit users by offering them a sign-in alternative that does not require a user to hand over personal data to a third party company when trying to use a service.

For instance, when using Facebook to login to an online shopping app using its third party sign-in, the social media giant would be aware everytime the user goes shopping.

Using Apple ID will also auto-generate a random “relay” email address that forwards information to the users’ email, thus keeping their email private.
