Samsung’s Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Watch Active available for RM499 and RM799 each, starting April 2

Previously, users were only able to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy Buds earphones and Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch only as purchase-with-purchase gifts for selected smartphones in the Galaxy S10 series.

But now, consumers can get these items on their own as announced by Samsung Malaysia on its official Twitter account.

The wireless Galaxy Buds reportedly can allow up to six hours of streaming on a single charge, or five hours of call time.

They can be charged using a cordless charging case, that can be juiced up using the S10’s “reverse charging” feature.

The earbuds come with Bixby capability, so users can supposedly control the volume and receive or make phone calls using their voice.

Its smart technology can reportedly recognise surroundings, switching between inner and outer mics to keep unnecessary noise away during phone calls.

Priced at RM499, the Galaxy Buds are available in Black and White.

On the other hand, the the Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch has an integrated heart rate monitor that is claimed to send instant alerts to the user when abnormal heart rate is detected.

It has a 1.1in Super Amoled display and a 230mAh battery that supposedly lasts for up to 45 hours for typical usage with no music playback and supports wireless charging as well.

Running on the Tizen operating system, the smartwatch can detect a slew of activities including rowing, running and walking, on top of tracking the user’s sleep pattern.

Priced at RM799, the Galaxy Watch Active comes in Rose Gold, Black and Silver.

Both devices will be available nationwide from April 2 at all Samsung stores, online and at authorised retailers.
