AirAsia’s Premium Flatbed passengers can now block out the noise with Sony headphones

AirAsia announced that its Premium Flatbed cabin passengers will now get to enjoy the Sony WH-1000XM3 noise-cancelling headphones on their flight.

The Sony WH-1000XM3 noise-cancelling headphones feature adaptive sound control that lets them detect and adjust to the aircraft environment, providing an overall enhanced experience for guests.

The headphones will be available to Premium Flatbed cabins of all scheduled AirAsia X Malaysia (D7) flights longer than 5 hours.

The Sony headphones were first introduced for the Kuala Lumpur-Tokyo route, a flight that takes around 6 hours.

“Following customer feedback and the successful trial of the noise cancelling headphones on our Kuala Lumpur–Tokyo route, we are delighted to extend the partnership with Sony,” said AirAsia group head of ancillary Barry Klipp in a press statement.

As part of the announcement, AirAsia is offering Premium Flatbed from RM799 for flights from KL to Jeju (South Korea), Tianjin (China), Taipei (Taiwan), Fukuoka (Japan) and Perth (Australia).

The offer is valid from now till March 24 for immediate travel and until Aug 31. The tickets can be purchases online or via the AirAsia app.

Premium Flatbed is one of the pricier seating options on AirAsia X flights, as the seat can be reclined into a full flat bed.

Guests will also get to use the Xcite inflight entertainment tablets, universal power sockets, adjustable headrests, built-in personal utilities and more.
