In the game, players are tasked with finding the suspect that stole the Crown Jewels by visiting various landmarks, gathering clues from interviewed witnesses, and deducing the next location of the suspect from those clues.

A new Carmen Sandiego game titled The Crown Jewels Caper, the first in a planned series of games, is now available on Google Earth.

For the uninitiated, Carmen Sandiego is an educational point-and-click adventure game series that originally got its start in 1985 with the videogame Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, which spawned a franchise including a game show, books, TV series, and even a musical.
