On Feb 15, NBA commissioner showed off a jersey that lets fans change the name and number on display with only their smartphones – it's like having an entire team's worth of jerseys in one.
Instead of burning your jersey when your favourite player requests a trade, there's another solution for you, thanks to NBA commissioner Adam Silver, so that you can still proudly rep your beloved team: on Feb 15, he demonstrated a smart NBA jersey at the NBA All-Star Technology Summit that that allows you to switch your allegiance to any player on a particular team.
Using just your smartphone and a designated app, you could soon change the name and number on the back of your jersey in just a couple seconds; the team, however, will remain the same.
Though we have no tech details as to how it works, we can watch the high-tech jersey in action thanks to a video that the NBA posted to Twitter showing the back of an All-Star game jersey number switching from 30 to 23 and last name from Curry to Jordan.
There's no word whether or not this jersey will arrive in stores, but if it does, it will certainly cost a pretty penny considering that the standard, non-smart tech integrated Curry All-Star jersey puts customers back about US$100 (RM409). – AFP Relaxnews
