Ryan Stephens has seen the future of grocery retailing, and it looks like a banana. 

Stephens, manager of technology for Kroger, is standing in the cereal aisle of the Kroger-owned QFC in Redmond, Washington, where the supermarket giant and tech powerhouse Microsoft are testing out something called "guided shopping".
