Google Duo will soon be able to accommodate group video calls with up to seven participants and have brightness adjusting tech that make users more visible in dark settings.
To make a group call, users have to first create a new group with the contacts they wish to video chat with, then start a call with everyone in the group at the same time.
However, additional users can't be added mid-call, at least at the moment.
These groups can be saved, and will appear in the user's contact list for ease of contacting the group again in future.
Android Police reports that the feature is available in limited regions, but there was no info to indicate when it would be available to all users.
Another feature uncovered is Low Light Mode, which automatically adjusts users' video in dark environments so others can see them better.
The app will prompt users to use this function if it detects that the setting is rather dark, though in future users might be able to turn it on manually.
