Happy New Year from Celcom, and here's some free data to record the whole night onto the Internet.

Celcom is offering its prepaid and postpaid users unlimited free data past midnight on New Year's Eve, till sunrise on New Year's Day.

According to its FAQ, the free 4G LTE speed data period is from 1am to 7am on Jan 1 and is open to all Celcom customers in Malaysia.

Customers will have to redeem the one-time offer anytime before 11.59pm on Dec 31.

The offer can be redeemed via the Celcom Life app by accepting the "Free Internet on us” notification or by dialling *118*1# and following the instructions sent to them.

Following a successful redemption, customers will be sent a confirmation SMS.

Celcom reminds users that the offer is only applicable to domestic use within Malaysia, and data usage will revert to their plan's data pool past 7am on New Year's Day.
