Sony's PlayStation Classic is due out Dec 3, and it comes with 20 games built in. What those games are will differ depending on which region a PlayStation Classic is made for.
The North American and European editions of the PlayStation Classic as well as the Japanese version of the miniaturized retro console have 12 titles in common.
Those include standard-setting titles Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, and Resident Evil: Director's Cut (aka Biohazard: Director's Cut).
Also built-in worldwide are martial arts fighters Tekken 3 and Battle Arena Toshinden, puzzlers Intelligent Qube and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, first-person 3D jump and run title Jumping Flash!, the PlayStation version of arcade game Mr. Driller, franchise debuts of the Persona and Wild Arms role-playing adventures, and motor racing game Ridge Racer Type 4.
That means the original Grand Theft Auto is exclusive to the North American and European PlayStation Classics, along with snowboarding excursion Cool Boarders 2, conflict-happy racers Destruction Derby and Twisted Metal, platform adventures Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Rayman, action game Syphon Filter, and tactical ops title Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six.
However, Japan gets roleplaying adventures Arc The Lad, Arc The Lad 2 and SaGa Frontier, shoot-'em-ups G-Darius and Gradius Gaiden, robot armour franchise debut Armored Core, and dice-rolling puzzle Xi (aka Devil Dice).
The PlayStation Classic arrives two years after Nintendo's NES Classic Edition and a year on from the SNES Classic, both of which were in high demand. After the NES Classic was temporarily withdrawn in 2017, the 2018 holiday season will be the first where both Nintendo Classics are available. – AFP Relaxnews
