Pre-order Huawei MateBook D and X Pro for goodies worth more than RM800


Look out for the camera hidden in the keyboard on the Huawei MateBook X Pro.

Pre-order for the new Huawei MateBook X Pro and MateBook D starts today (Oct 19). 

Customers who place a pre-order for the MateBook X Pro will get goodies worth RM1,456, namely a backpack, Bluetooth mouse, leather case and one-year Microsoft Office Home 365 subscription.

The MateBook X Pro is a 13.9in device that runs on an 8th Generation Intel Core processor. It's being touted as the world's first full-view display notebook with a 91% screen to body ratio. The display is a touchscreen with a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels.

Users should also look out for a camera or webcam hiding in the keyboard. This feature is being dubbed as the world's first recessed camera on a notebook.

The ultra-sleek device has a 14.6mm metallic body, 6GB or 8GB RAM, and 246GB or 512GB SSD (solid state drive), depending on the configuration the user picks. It also has quad-speakers that support Dolby Atmos sound technology.

Price starts from RM4,999 for a model with i5 processor and RM6,999 for the version with i7 processor and Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics chip. The notebook only comes in Space Gray.

If you're looking for a more affordable notebook, then check out the MateBook D. The 14in device comes with i5 processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. It has a slim bezel with high definition display.

The notebook, which weighs 1.47kg and is 15.8mm thick, has an integrated fingerprint reader and four speakers.

Customers who pre-order this model will get a free backpack, Bluetooth mouse and one-year Microsoft Office Home 365 subscription. These goodies are worth RM857.

The MateBook D in Mystic Silver is priced at RM2,999.
