Kids won’t get off their smartphones? Lock them out using Google Assistant

Parents could set limits to screen time, lock the devices when its time to put down the gadgets, approve or block apps from the Play Store, and even keep tabs on their children

If you are one of the many parents competing with gadgets for your child’s attention, Google has the solution for you. Lock them down – the gadgets, we mean. 

Last year, Google had introduced the Family Link parental control hub which allows parents to monitor their kids under 13’s Google accounts. To get started, parents just have to get their kids a device that runs on Android Nougat or later, download Family Link, and then create an account through the app.
